Dove Medical Press are pleased to announce the publication of our long-awaited Thematic Series on ‘Veterans and military patient-related health outcomes’ in the journal Patient Related Outcome Measures.

Military personnel face many challenges when working in areas of war and conflict, but often the challenges do not end on the front line. Frequently, the physical and mental health of both ex-military personnel and those still in service suffers due to the extreme environments they are exposed to. Our Thematic Series looks at topics such as post-traumatic stress disorder, the impact of military concussion and traumatic brain injury. With article submission to this series still open, we also hope to focus on non-drug treatment options for post-traumatic stress disorder and examine the prevalence of opioid addiction/dependence in this population and treatment strategies. Read the full call for papers here.
